Is India a good travel destination?

India is located in the southern part of the continent of Asia which is surrounded by the Arabian Sea on the west, the Bay of Bengal on the east, the Indian Ocean on the south and largely by the Himalayas on the northern side. India is a huge country with geographical multiformity as well as cultural heritage owing to the great mix of people having inhabited India from ancient times. With innumerable rivers and mountain ranges, it is considered a visitor’s paradise.
India is one of the very few countries of the world where such diversity can be found. From the majestic Mount Everest to the scorching Thar Desert, from the breathtaking Dal Lake to the historical Delhi Red Fort, it is sure to leave travelers awestruck with the vast landscaped beauties present in India. The pristine Taj Mahal beside the Yamuna River is a marvel in itself which appears absolutely captivating when visited on a full moon night. There is something for everyone to love and enjoy. The trek enthusiast will be amused by the steep Ladakh terrains and nature lover will be enthralled by the cascading Cherrapunji falls. The Andaman and Nicobar islands is a peaceful undisturbed getaway with very less infiltration. Khajjiar in Himachal Pradesh is often compared to the heavenly Switzerland. The beauty of the Valley of Flowers in Uttaranchal appears nothing less than an enchanted forest. Still there are places like the divine Varanasi ghats, the vibrant Lakshadweep atolls and the mystical monasteries of Arunachal Pradesh which are sure to take away anyone’s breath away.

Apart from the sights to behold, tourists will often be amazed by the heritage that is hidden in India like the marvelous Fatehpur Sikri or the intricately carved Ajanta and Ellora Caves. The countless cuisines and the multitude of languages spoken are also some of the most cherished memories of visitors. With so much to look forward to from a single country, India definitely is a great tourist destination.
