They are widely revered by Hindus and are believed to rid one of his sins. It comprises of Badrinath (in the north), Dwarka (in the west), Puri (in the east) and Rameswaram (in the south). It is considered highly sacred by Hindus to visit Char Dham during one's lifetime.
