But the same old places like the Darjeeling Hill Station or the Khajuraho Temples are the most popular and congested places. So if you want to get away from the common travelers packages and explore some of the offbeat hidden gems of Indian Tourism then make sure your next travel plan include one of the following exotic locations.

  • Mawlynnog in Meghalaya is one the most pleasant and beautiful villages in India that has achieved the title of the cleanest Asian village in the year 2003. The wild jungle with bridges made from living roots, is the main attraction here for the adventuring travelers.

  • Majuli in Assam is the largest river island in India and has a great natural scenic beauty to offer the visitors. The main attraction here is the vaishnav community and the stay in their cultural villages.

  • Khajjiar in Himachal Pradesh is often called the mini Switzerland. The place is a small town developed around a vast grassland in the high mountains. Golf, horse riding and zorbing in the meadows and by the lake is very entertaining for any tourist visiting Khajjiar at any season.

  • Gokarna beach or the ‘Om’ beach in Karnataka is also a great place to enjoy the Arabian Sea relaxingly with family in retreat comfort. The ancient temple here, gives the beach its spirituality.
